Healing 3 to your Nexus is nice, but you’re really here for the extra mana gem generated - it’ll get you to your massive plays much faster. Mid Game: Catalyst of Aeons is your source of ramp in this deck, and if you can find the opportunity to play it, absolutely go for it. Avalanche is your most important tool in most cases though - try to get the maximum possible value from it by waiting for your foe to put more units on the board and kill them. 5 mana for Grasp of the Undying or Withering Wail - vital removal spells - might seem like a lot, but they can be cast as early as turn 3. Vile Feast is especially strong against units with 1 health, as you’ll be able to kill a unit, heal your Nexus for 1, and block with a 1/1 Spiderling all with a single card. Aggressive decks will try to take you out before your value arrives, whilst other control decks will give you an easier time early on.Įarly Game: Your cheapest cards are Vile Feast and Icevale Archer, and you’ll need them against aggro. You’re trying to ramp up and survive if at all possible.
